I try to eat organic whenever I can, but I've often wondered which products are worth the extra cost and which aren't. For example, what about bananas? The peel is so thick -- and usualy inedible, unless you're really really really hungry, and even then you'll get a major jaw workout ... uh, where was I?
(Deep yoga breath, refocus!) Oh yeah. Is it worth it to buy organic bananas when I'm just going to peel the da*! things anyway?
Answer: NO
Here's a great link to the best--and worst--produce items as far as pesticide levels are concerned. It makes organic shopping just that much easier.
